Camp Whittle

Accepts HD patients, ages 9-17, and PD, post-transplant, and general nephrology patients, 9-18. YMCA activities include hiking, crafts, horseback riding and archery. Dialysis campers are main-streamed into the camp population. There is a separate lodge for on-site dialysis.

Painted Turtle Camp

Dragonfly Heart Camp
Chestertown, MD

Dragonfly Heart Camp offers children age 7-17 with heart disease and pulmonary hypertension, as well as those who have undergone heart transplant, a one week camping experience that will build strength and confidence, as well as empower, educate and cultivate life-long friendships. Dragonfly Heart Camp is located on the beautiful grounds of Echo Hill Outdoor School on Maryland's Eastern Shore along the Chesapeake Bay. Summer session for 2008 is being held July 28 - August 1. Camp is free to all campers with the exception of a non refundable $50 registration fee. This year, camp is limited to 20 campers. Campers are accepted on a first-come basis. Deadline for registration is May 30, 2008.

The one week summer camp, administrated by the University of Michigan Transplant Center, is for children ages 7-16 who have received an organ transplant. Miracles for Life Youth Camp
Clarksville, OH

Miracles for Life Youth Camp offers youth ages 7-17 with tissue or organ transplants a weekend outdoor educational experience that will allow them to be a kid again while helping them build strength, confidence, self-empowerment, network and life-long friendships.

Miracles for Life Youth Camp for Transplants will be held on September 11, 12,13, 2009 at the Camp Joy Outdoor Educational Center 30 miles north of Cincinnati, OH. Camp Joy was established in 1938 and holds several medical specific camps year. Campers will be able to enjoy swimming, volleyball, tennis, softball, basketball, climbing walls, zip lines, ropes climbs, canoeing, hiking, nature trails and crafts.

Parents are encouraged to attend the one night one day Caregiver Camp specifically crafted to meet their needs on June 6 and June 6, 2009 and the Motorcycle Ride for Life to the camp on Sunday, September 13, 2009.

Camp is free with the exception of a $50 registration fee. Space is limited. Campers are accepted on a first come first serve basis.

Northwest Kidney Kids Annual Camp

NW Kidney Kids Inc nonprofit provides a free, annual Kidney Camp for patients (age 2-18) and their families. For children ages 6 - 16. Camp Jeremy was inspired by Jeremy Clemens who received a heart transplant at eight years old and worked at Mermaid Day Camp for several years. After graduating from Temple University Hospital, Jeremy continued to work for Mermaid Lake and teach in the local community. Jeremy's family and Mermaid Country Day Camp wanted to keep Jeremy's spirit of giving alive by offering other transplant recipients an opportunity to enjoy a week of camp free of charge. Camp Rockin' (Reaching Out to Children with Kidney Needs)
Rockport, Texas

Camp Rockin’ meets for one week each summer at Camp Aranzazu in Rockport Texas for swimming, arts and crafts, kayaking, archery, nature studies, and much more. We provide a week of independence and fun for children with transplants, on hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, or with chronic kidney or urologic problems and provide a week of safe respite for their families.
